What you might be asking about

Bring the Council to your school. We have run the Interfaith Youth Festival since 2001. A school needs a staff champion, students willing to help plan it, and a date — we bring the faith communities, the booths and the passports. How the festival works.

Join the table. Membership is open to authorised representatives of any faith, religious or spiritual group whose members or regular place of meeting lie within the Region of Halton. Read the constitution.

Host or speak at a gathering. Most of what the Council does happens because someone offered. If your community would like to host us, or send a speaker, tell us.

You are a journalist. We are glad to speak to the press, and to put you in touch with a representative of any of the eight traditions at our table.

You do not need an invitation to our public gatherings, and you will not be asked to believe anything.

We read everything

Messages reach the whole executive, so your note goes to the right person whichever of us picks it up. We aim to reply within a few days.

What we do with what you send us

We use what you send us to reply to you — nothing else. We keep it until you ask us to delete it, and we never sell it, pass it on or add you to a mailing list without asking you first.

What we ask for, and why

Your name and email address — so we know who you are and can reply.
A telephone number, if you give one — only if you would rather we rang than wrote.
Your message — so we can answer it.

Who can see it

Members of the Council’s executive, and no one else. It is not sold, not shared with other organisations, and not used to send you anything you did not ask for.

How long we keep it

Until you ask us to delete it. We would rather say that plainly than name a period we would not actually keep to. Submissions are stored on our own website and in the Council’s interfaithcouncilhalton.com mailbox.

How to have it removed

Ask us, and we will delete it. Write to info@interfaithcouncilhalton.com or send a note through the contact form saying you would like what you sent removed. You do not have to give a reason. We will delete it and tell you once it is done. You can also ask us what we hold about you, and we will tell you that too.

Spam protection

We do not keep your IP address with your message. To stop automated spam, the form notes when a message was sent and briefly counts repeat submissions from the same connection using a scrambled form of the address, which is discarded within the hour.
